Job Description

The IT Project Manager works with IT and business leadership to plan and define scope for projects that are typically cross-functional and/or highly complex in nature. We’re searching for a highly qualified project manager to help us maintain our position as an innovative authority. The ideal candidate will have production experience and strong skills in developing and overseeing work plans. The project manager will also prepare and present updates regularly to relevant management channels, ensuring that our goal of innovation is achieved.


Requirements

·       Proven track record of delivering complex projects on-time, on budget with high quality, exceeding the project sponsors expectations

·       4+ years project management/scrum manager experience

·      Must be able to demonstrate how to use PM tools and know how to organize and drive a project

·       Experience managing/coordinating across multiple, concurrent projects consisting of multiple work streams and cross-enterprise functionality

·       Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

·       Hungry, ambitious, up and coming

·       Ability to manage and delegate work as part of a team in a matrixed environment

·       A customer focused attitude


Preferred Skills:

·      Prior airline experience

·      4 year Bachelors degree


Responsibilities

·       Develop work breakdown structure outlining project activities and their sequencing

·       Develop resource and cost estimates

·       Develop detailed project schedules and project timelines

·       Perform project risk and issue analysis, manage and mitigate ongoing risks and issues

·       Level and track project resources, including labor and project spending, tracking progress against the baseline project schedule

·       Utilize industry standard project management metrics (earned value, cost variance, and schedule variance) to measure project progress

·       Schedule and facilitate project meetings with stakeholders and develop necessary project management documentation

·       Lead Steering Committee Meetings and project/program meetings as needed

·       Mentor and coach the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation

·       Lead projects from inception, requirements definition through deployment, identifying project schedules, dependencies, project scope, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation

·       Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget

·       Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met

·       Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes

·       Deliver assigned projects on-time, on budget with high quality as expected by the project sponsors and business partners

·       Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks

·       Develop and maintain partnerships with internal customers and third-party SaaS solution providers

·       Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables

·       Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan
